Meet Our Staff


Beth Smith, Director of Operations

Beth is our Director. She reports directly to the Owner of Story-O and is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company’s day-to-day operational efficiency. Her role involves leading and managing the entire team, while fostering a productive and collaborative work environment. Additionally, she provides strategic guidance and implements best practices to ensure the company’s continued growth and success. She has a Bachelor’s and Associates degree in Biology from Northeastern State University. Outside of her professional commitments, Beth enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and hunting. Most of free time is taken up by her Great Pyrenees mix, reptiles, listening to podcasts, and going on a run.

Melissa Tardif

Creator Manager & Advisor/ Quality Control

Melissa is the Creator Manager/ Advisor and Head of Quality Control here at Story-O. Her role is to support our amazing Creators through onboarding and serve as the main point of contact throughout their journey with us. Outside of Story-O, Melissa is a proud mom to five incredible kids and one lovable golden retriever mix. With her family, Melissa enjoys spending time outdoors and soaking up the quiet moments in between carpools, basketball games, track meets, and tennis matches.

Christine Cearley

Office Associate

Christine is our Office Associate. She hires creators and acts as a training coach for creators regarding session quality and encourage them on improvements.
Christine has 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. She lives in Idaho. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University. Additionally, she has a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Chapman University in California. She enjoys reading, movies, walks and learning about the social sciences.

Bethany Dawson

Customer Service Representative

Bethany’s role at Story-O is publishing the weekly announcements and newsletters, answering inquiries from the website, and miscellaneous communications. She was a reading teacher for ten years before stepping back from the classroom to homeschool her own children. As a reading teacher, Bethany loved the challenge of finding the perfect story for every reader. Now, Bethany spends most of her time being mom and teacher to her three kids but also enjoys reading, gardening, caring for their many animals, and playing games with friends. She also helps manage their dog boarding business and directs several camps during the summer.
